Churches on mission together for Christ

New Orleans 2012

Youth Groups from three of our MSBA churches (Bayshore, Elwood Park, and First Palmetto) joined together for a summer mission trip to New Orleans. In the city they ministered to the homeless, led VBS at a local day camp and cleared vacant lots in the lower 9th Ward.

It was a life-changing week filled with hard work, new friends and great memories. All of the student who participated came back with a renewed passion for their Savior and His Kingdom. Our theme this year was Unreasonable, Uncomfortable, Unbelievable. We sought to serve God beyond what was reasonable, to be pushed beyond what was comfortable and wanted to see God do something beyond what was believable. We were not disappointed - God is so good.
